Best Practice Guide
5 tips to increase your quote conversion
1. Always Use a Payment Quote
Payment quotes convert significantly higher than non-payment quotes. Enabling payment gives your customer a direct way to complete their purchase as soon as they’re ready - the data shows it makes a real difference
If you can send a payment quote, always do. There’s no good reason not to.
2. Set a 24-Hour Expiry Window
A 24-hour expiry window consistently outperforms all other time settings. Quotes need enough time for a buyer to consider and act, but a deadline creates the urgency to do so.
When in doubt, set 24 hours. It’s the setting with the strongest & best conversion record.
3. Follow Up Early
Most orders happen within a few hours of a quote being sent. Buyers are at their most engaged immediately after receiving it and a quick follow-up shortly after sending can be the difference between a conversion and a quote going cold.
Make it a habit: send the quote, follow up within a couple of hours while interest is fresh.
4. Keep Your Commission Reasonable
Quotes that are accepted tend to have lower commissions than those that don’t. A competitive commission that keeps the overall price attractive is more likely to result in a successful order.
Price to win the order first. A converted quote is always better than an unconverted one.
5. Send More Quotes
There is no cost to sending a quote and every quote sent is a potential opportunity. The most successful users on our platform consistently send a high number of quotes — and generate the most orders as a result.
More quotes means more orders. Don’t hold back — build the habit of quoting often
